I received a letter from Isaac Layman the other day telling me about his upcoming show at Lawrimore Projects, and I must admit the few images I’ve seen really knock me out. The work Tilt (above) really says quite a bit to me about his process as it plays with art historical and conceptual conceits. One of the things that I really like about IL’s work is that the longer you look the more it reveals itself in unexpected ways – especially when you consider how “ordinary” the images are inside of these artworks.
