{"id":476,"date":"2006-06-29T14:14:00","date_gmt":"2006-06-29T14:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matthewlangley.com\/blog\/?p=476"},"modified":"2006-06-29T14:14:00","modified_gmt":"2006-06-29T14:14:00","slug":"rehanging-as-the-next-blockbuster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/matthewlangley.com\/blog\/?p=476","title":{"rendered":"Rehanging as the next blockbuster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As noticed earlier in the spring I commented on how museums are rehanging the collection in order to avoid the costs of the blockbuster show &#8211; the Whitney is going for it with a full advertising push &#8211; including the 5th floor hanging of Edward Hopper (clearly a crowd favorite) The Whitney&#8217;s Hopper works are supplemented by loans, including  the Art Institute of Chicago&#8217;s &#8220;Nighthawks&#8221; and the Museum of Modern Art&#8217;s &#8220;New York Movie&#8221;.
