They were getting started with a little project called the Sketchbook Project. I thought what the hell &#8211; let&#8217;s see what happens. Long story short I wasn&#8217;t interested in submitting a proper sketchbook so I made something more akin to a book as art. Using my approach to paperworks as a starting point.<\/p>\n<p><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.matthewlangley.com\/blog\/uploaded_images\/opened_small-756653.jpg\"><img style=\"cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 158px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.matthewlangley.com\/blog\/uploaded_images\/opened_small-756450.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What I ended up with was a project where I scanned a bunch of paint samples and built a continuous artwork that accordions open. I&#8217;m actually really happy about the piece and along with my friend <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tonyeckersley.com\/\">Tony Eckersley<\/a>, we made a quick video.
